Keep one shared roadmap for product, engineering and marketing
Guest's key lesson; keeps a lean team aligned (no numbers)
Workedteam-process
What they did
No separate roadmaps and no engineers dedicated to growth: one living roadmap that accounts for all stakeholders, shows priority shifts and models the cost of delaying items. Performance marketing sat under the CTO at first, so engineering felt marketing's urgency; engineers move to wherever the need is.
What happened
Guest calls it one of the key things he learned; marketing and engineering operate as one unit.
In their words

“Yeah, so it was just all under one roof when we started. And so that made it easy because I had a lot of empathy with the marketers because I was the marketer.”
