Build the first app just for track athletes, a sport you already run and post about

Founders say it worked; ~$70K in ~6 months

Workedpositioning-niche

What they did

They noticed many people run track but found no apps made for track and field. They picked that niche because they already had influence there as athletes and creators. Their advice: monetize something you already do every day, because you'll stick with that niche longer than someone in it for the money.

What happened

App reached ~$70K revenue and ~40K users in about 6 months.

Pat WallsLet's talk about ideas. How did you come up with the idea and how'd you know something like this can make money?

BraylinWhat we did is we found a niche that not a lot of people were in. We realized a lot of people run track, but there's no apps for track and field specifically. So we said, let's put our app where we already have influence right in the niche. And that's exactly what we did. We had built up hundreds of thousands of followers in track and field alone with our videos, no marketing. We were subliminally putting 3AK in our videos before we even dropped the app. Cuz we had the Shopify store, the e-commerce, so we'd be like 3AK method and on the website, this and that, we'd have it in our bio. Then when we just dropped the app, it it just blew up.

Pat WallsLet's talk about the actual app that you guys built. What is the app that made $70,000? Could you show it to me?
