Add a download button to TikToks only after they pass 1,000 views
Most downloads came through the link; adding it too early kills the video

What they did
When a video starts getting good views (a few thousand up to 100K), add an anchor link: a 'download now' button on the video that opens the App Store page, so viewers don't have to go to the bio. Adding it under ~1,000 views kills the video. On the 48M-view video it was added at ~500K views.
What happened
'Most of our downloads came from our anchor link'; on the viral video it helped drive ~60K downloads and ~$12.5K in a day

“When a video starts getting good views, let's say a couple of thousand or 100k, you can add a anchor link to the video, which is a download now button.”
“Most of our downloads came from our anchor link, and it's really useful. But mostly when the video is going viral, if you put it under 1,000 views, it will just kill the video.”
“And we added as well the anchor link around 500k views, which made downloading the app super easy.”
