Target keywords with popularity 5-20 until the app gets steady downloads

What they did
In competitive categories (e.g. food diary), use a keyword tool (ASOMobile) to find lower-traffic keywords with popularity ~5-20 that few competitors have in their titles (e.g. 'eating tracker' instead of 'food diary'). Once downloads are coming in, move to more competitive, higher-traffic keywords.
What happened
Pretty good results internally.
“we're seeing pretty good results internally just trying to go after like lower traffic keywords, so anywhere from 5 to 20, just to get something going.”
“Now, if you already have something going, meaning like you're already getting downloads, you can go more competitive and higher search traffic keywords”
