Tell Meta when people sign up, see the paywall and tap buy
Cost per result dropped about 50%

What they did
Campaigns still optimize for purchase, but the app also sends Meta's standard e-commerce events: fb_mobile_complete_registration on sign-up, fb_mobile_content_view once when the paywall is shown, and fb_mobile_initiated_checkout once when the paywall buy button is tapped. Mapped via Adjust (works with the plain Facebook SDK too). Meta then learns from registration, paywall view and checkout intent before the first purchase arrives; cost per checkout also shows which ads bring quality traffic.
What happened
Cost per result dropped by about 50%; one of the biggest drivers of lower cost per purchase
“when someone signs up, we trigger that event and send it back to Meta. When they land on our paywall, we trigger the content view”
“as soon as we did that, our cost per result like dropped by like 50%”
“FB_mobile_initiated_checkout, so we have that once when someone tax taps the paywall”
