David Barnard… folks that helps them see the value of the product, but that there is some kind of limit to it? And a great example, I just brought this up on a live stream yesterday. I've been looking at trading card games, apps a lot in the past few weeks because we're going to do a live app valuation on Sub Club of one of these trading card game apps, and it's like the card scanner to see the value of your Pokemon cards and Magic cards and things like that.
David BarnardAnd one of the really cool things they did, and I hadn't seen this exact user experience before, but what they do is they give essentially the full value of the product, but then they limit it to a certain number of scans, and then they make it really clear. So you've got your whole scanner UI, where you're scanning your Pokemon card and it says 35 scans left, and then you scan one, and then 34 scans left, and then you scan one, 33 scans left. And so it's really prepping you for that moment that the paywall comes, but it's giving you the full value of the product and a really fantastic experience, generally. I mean, some are really bad at scanning the cards, as I've learned.
David BarnardMy kids are into both Magic and Pokemon, and they've been pulling me in recently. So I've been actually using them with their card collections, and I've collected a few now. So some of them actually are a bad experience. And this is kind of your point though, those apps that are a fantastic experience, it's way better for me to have that experience and then use the product, and then I'm going to be a product user for life.
