Stitch an already-viral classroom clip with better audio, then demo the app
15-16M TikTok views in a day, 100M+ across platforms; drove a $500K month

What they did
Found a video already going viral for other AI writing tools (a kid getting caught in class, ~10K likes, poor quality, no on-screen text). Swapped its sound for audio from a different clip of a teacher yelling 'No AI on this test' so it felt like a real student getting caught, added Snap-style captions ('How the f is this kid acing every exam?'), then zoomed in to show he was using the AI website: a straight hook then demo. Posted by the guest as a faceless solo creator on the brand's TikTok; it was then reposted on X by random accounts. He calls this 'Frankensteining': find videos that already went viral on your subject and stitch them together. Aim for one extreme: either obviously a cringe homemade ad or something that feels completely real; lower quality leans into realism.
What happened
By the end of the day the video had 15-16M views on TikTok alone and went on to well over 100M (up to ~150M) across platforms; it drove Conch to $500K in a month and ~$1M ARR within about 30 days.

In their words
The Superwall Podcast · Daniel Kwon - He made $2.2M from building simple apps. Here's how (no-code)“there was this one video that was already going viral for some other AI writing tool startups. Um, it was a video of some kid getting caught in his class”
“the sound of the teacher yelling at the kid worked so well with this other video overlay that I found of a teacher telling students like, "No AI on this test." And so I basically merged those clips together”
“It had like 10,000 likes. Um, and it was just, uh, yeah, it had like 10,000 likes, and it was just the overlay video.”
“I call it "Frankensteining," but I mean, I did it with Conch. You basically just find videos that have already gone viral related to your subject matter, and you stitch them together.”
