Stitch popular faith podcast clips and farmed hooks onto a quick app demo
~7 videos: 20M views, 100K+ downloads and $75K MRR in 2 weeks

What they did
'Frankensteined' videos on the app's own page: podcast clips of Christian influencer Bryce Crawford plus hooks farmed by searching the phrase 'Bible reading', each followed by a standard app demo. Some also ran on creator accounts, but the most viral were on a new Instagram account (guest thinks Instagram is easier to grow from scratch). Organic was later paused because the team didn't want such a meaningful app to depend on hacky UGC.
What happened
About seven videos drove ~20M views in 2 weeks, over 100,000 downloads, $75K MRR and about a week at #10 on the charts.

In their words
The Superwall Podcast · Daniel Kwon - He made $2.2M from building simple apps. Here's how (no-code)“These are just like podcast clips of of Bryce Crawford, who's huge influencer in the Christian space. And then there's other clips on the page of basically just hooks that I farmed from looking up the phrase "Bible reading."”
“This was like very standard hook-demo, which is kind of why we phased it out.”
“Some on creator accounts, but the most viral videos were on Instagram, actually.”
“It was like seven videos, and we did like 20 million views in 2 weeks, got over 100,000 downloads”
