Put your logo with your web address on every link people share
About a third of traffic is word of mouth; people say they saw it at an event
Workedproduct-viralityword-of-mouth
What they did
Inspired by Dropbox's share-for-space loop. Every link users share (the timer views shown to speakers and crew) carries the Stagetimer logo, and the logo spells out the domain 'stagetimer.io'. The name was chosen to be easy to remember from a glance.
What happened
About a third of traffic comes from recommendations; users often say they saw it at an event and then used it themselves.
- Stage
- growth
This shipped together with other changes, so the result can't be credited to this alone.
“It's called product-led growth, and I just made sure every single link that people share, my logo is on it. And not only is my logo just like a picture, it's it has the name, stagetimer.io, in the logo.”
“And it's a name easy enough to remember that people often just see it. Even tell us, "Oh, I saw it on an event, and I used it myself."”
