Eunice Lai - This 20yr old girl is a marketing genius…
HostThat's classic, actually. That makes so much sense. I guess that's always been a thing in sales. Like, I feel like a lot of like enterprise sales people like understand this concept, like, "Oh, you've got to give your clients gifts and stuff." But I feel like that whole tactic is amplified by social media.
Eunice LaiAnd it's like well-documented in like psychology, right? So I study decision science, so something we talk about a lot is social proof, and if one person posts about it, everyone's just going to follow along. For example, when I did the Series Hamptons campaign, I had a bunch of interns race for a spot in the TV show. And, you know, I I don't think students really like to post on LinkedIn, but once I had like one or two people posting about it, everyone became really comfortable posting about it, too. So then, like, 2 days, we had over 100 interns post a banner writing a whole paragraph about um how excited they are to be part of this journey, and like what entrepreneurship means to them.
HostYeah, LinkedIn is so unsaturated, I feel like. People love to make fun of LinkedIn, but if people are making fun of the content on a platform, that's a good thing. Like, that means that the content is bad, so you can just make good content and stand out [laughter] on the platform.
