What they did
Use the platform's public agency/partner directory (Shopify agency partner directory, Klaviyo partner directory) as a ready-made lead list: it ranks agencies by size and influence, and since all listed agencies use the same platform they can be assumed to share the same problem. Zac recommends this for any industry: most key platforms have an agency or partner directory page.
What happened
Guest says agencies are 'really easy to find' this way
“You can go to the Shopify agency partner page directory, the Klaviyo partner page directory, and they basically give you a forced rank list of agencies by like size and influence.”
“most of those platforms are going to have a page on their site that is like agency directory or partner directory. Those directories kind of give you that access right off the bat.”
