Break the paywall into several screens: features, how the trial works, social proof, plans
Trial opt-in rate up 60% (relayed secondhand)

What they did
Instead of one long paywall, spread the selling points over multiple screens: list of features, an explanation of how the free trial works (e.g. what happens in 2 days, in 5 days, instead of a single Blinkist-style timeline), social proof, and a basic vs pro comparison, ending with a last-minute pitch/recap. Tested against a long/single paywall. Host suggests taking an existing long paywall and splitting it into 3-4 pages as an easy test; guest notes long paywalls often push plans below the fold and only 'explorers' scroll.
What happened
At Mimo the multi-screen option led to a 60% increase in the trial opt-in rate.
“a list of features, an explanation of how the free trial works, social proof, a comparison of basic versus pro plan. This can be done through a long scrollable screen or multi-screen paywall.”
“she was mentioning that at Meemo, the multi-screen option led to a 60% increase in the trial opt-in rate”
