What they did
Built almost 50 free tools, each related to the main product so its users are likely SiteGPT customers (e.g. PDF-to-markdown converter, chatbot name generator). Each tool has a CTA below it pitching the main product in context, e.g. for a chat-with-PDF tool: 'You have tried chatting with one PDF. What if you can create a chatbot with all of your business content? Try SiteGPT.' New tools are built in under five minutes by telling Cursor to look at the existing free tools and create a similar one for a given keyword.
What happened
60-70% of website traffic comes from Google and ~90% of that lands on the free tools: ~50,000 Google clicks/month, ~200-300 leads/month, 1M+ visitors since launch with no paid marketing. Supports ~$13K MRR.

“I should be able to somehow relate this to my main product, so people who use this tool should be a potential customer of SiteGPT.”
“Right now, we get around 50,000 clicks from Google every month, and almost 90% of it is because of these free tools, and we get around 300 leads.”
“Because I already have all these tools, I can just tell Cursor, "Okay, look at these free tools. Now, in a similar way, create this new free tool. This is the keyword for it," and it will just build it out in less than five minutes.”
