Let subscribers share a link that gives friends 6 free workouts instead of 3
Has driven users, per founder; built mainly to measure the word-of-mouth loop

What they did
A near-constant in-app banner lets subscribers 'share six free workouts': the normal trial is three free workouts, while a friend who arrives via the shared link gets six. Built primarily to measure the word-of-mouth loop, with every step instrumented: % of subscribers who view the referral feature, % who send, % of recipients who tap, redeem and convert. Next step is to find the highest-leverage step (e.g. more views of the referral page, or an incentive for the referred user to convert).
What happened
Guest says it has driven users, though they have not invested much in it yet.

In their words
Sub Club by RevenueCat · Product Lessons From a Profitable, $20M ARR Subscription App — Jesse Venticinque, Fitbod“Has that been a a big driver of that referral thing where you normally get three free workouts, but if you share the link, your friend gets six free workouts?”
“It has. However, we haven't invested a ton into it, and that's kind of an immediate strategy to put more in there.”
“And so we built that feature with all the steps instrumented, and we can know like what percent of subscribers view the referral feature, and then what percent will send a referral, what percent of recipients will tap on it and redeem and convert.”
