Make a sports version of a map game you already love playing
Became the game behind ~$40K/month; no test of the idea itself

What they did
His brother showed him Maptap, a daily map game he loved. Maptap has no trivia or sports twist, so he built 'a remix of sorts' for sports fans: sports clues where you tap on the map where it happened. He had Claude research Maptap while writing the spec.
What happened
The sports remix became GeoSports, now ~$40K/month; the founder credits the idea's origin, not a separate test.

- Pre-launch (idea)
“What if I had a sports version?" Because Maptap doesn't do any sort of trivia, it doesn't have a sports twist on it. I thought I could do my own thing and and make a remix of sorts”
