Pay StudyTok creators with 5K-100K followers for 3-video deals
One creator took MRR from $2K to ~$15K; couldn't repeat it and lost money

What they did
Targeted micro to mid-tier creators in the study niche (StudyTok) with 5K-100K followers, where CPMs and ROI were better and less of a gamble than big influencers. Negotiated three- or multi-video deals to lower cost per video. Briefs explained the pain points and included examples of top videos and viral hooks, with feedback on drafts, while leaving creators freedom to fit their own style. The founders made content themselves to build the intuition to guide and vet creators. In hindsight they would have used minimum view clauses.
What happened
Got Jungle past 10,000 users. A medical-student creator (Agogo) had about three videos over 1M views; one took MRR from ~$2K to almost $15K in 1-2 weeks and made an estimated ~$20K. Later videos from her and other creators didn't repeat it and spend exceeded returns, so they switched approach.
In their words
The Superwall Podcast · Julian Alvarez - This ai study app makes $100k/mo. here's how (no-code)“target micro to mid-tier influencers, like in the 5k to 100k followers range, because the ROI and the CPMs at that time I think are a lot better versus like if you get really big influencers”
“There's a lot in the process around, "Hey, try to do like a three or multi-video deal in order to get like lower cost per video."”
“So you want to provide like examples of videos that have performed really well or examples of viral hooks that they could potentially use, and of course, like give them feedback wherever feedback is warranted”
“we went from 2k MRR to like almost 15k MRR within like a week or 2”
“After some time, like we were burning more money than we were making on these influencer videos, you know, we had to switch our approach.”
“I think one thing we didn't try as much is like minimum view clauses, right? That would have mitigated the risk.”
