Offer a free 1-2 month pilot to a small group, with success goals agreed upfront
3-5 of a 10-man church group found it helpful; elders want it church-wide
Workedsales-orgvalidation
What they did
Lead with a free pilot of 1-2 months (up to 90 days), no longer. Before starting, agree tightly on what success looks like (e.g. even one person finding value) so no one looks back at 30 or 60 days and says only 1 of 10 used it. Example: a church men's ministry focused on sexual wholeness did a ~2-month trial; the group leader then pitched the elders, and church leadership asked to roll it out to everyone; he sent a contract with 1-year to 3-year options. Advice to another founder piloting with schools: bring a clean pitch and a recommended path (e.g. 'let's do a 60-day pilot, here's the rollout, here's how we'll measure success'), and don't be open-ended.
What happened
3-5 of the ~10 men said it helped; the church verbally committed to a church-wide deal and received a contract. Pilots lengthen time to close.

- One church pilot (~2 months)
“there's a church that has verbally committed that started with a men's ministry um that was specifically focused on uh sexual wholeness, and we did like a 2-month trial, and then that guy who led the group pitched it to the elders of the church”
“Try not to go beyond like I lead with like 1 to 2 months, um, uh free, right?”
“Here, let's get really pointed on what success looks like so that after 30 days or 60 days, we're not looking back and saying, 'Well, you know, only 1 out of 10 used it.'”
