I built this app for my dad. Now it makes $18K/month
Kourosh built Voicy, a Whisper-based dictation app, as a Chrome extension for his dad two years ago and grew it as a side project to every desktop and mobile platform. It makes $16-20K a month (11K MRR plus a $260 lifetime deal). The Chrome Web Store and Reddit brought the first users; SEO drives growth, and an 'AI For Seniors' YouTube series hit 12K subscribers. User calls showed seniors and people with disabilities need it most, so he serves them instead of fighting funded rivals like Wispr Flow; 20% of users take a 20% disability discount.
