Manage hundreds of creators from one automated Google Sheets system
Founder calls it instrumental; avoided a bandwidth bottleneck
Workedcreator-opsteam-process
What they did
Using management-consulting habits, Jake built systems and automations in Google Sheets (his 'Magnum office') to track deals, posts and payments for hundreds of creators, since existing tools disappointed him. He later turned it into his own software.
What happened
Marketing became 'easy'; the hard part, managing at scale, was handled without being bottlenecked on bandwidth.
In their words
Sub Club by RevenueCat · How Cal AI turned creators into a growth machine — Jake Castillo, Cal AI“I built systems and automations out over time that made it super easy to manage at scale. That was instrumental to our success because otherwise we would've been always bottle-necked at bandwidth.”
“Yeah, so in the early days it was spreadsheets. Everyone would make fun of me because I was always in Google Sheets and I was obsessed with it.”
