Replace the monthly plan with a weekly plan sold as 'pay as you go'
Trial start rate almost doubled in an A/B test; revenue up significantly
Workedpricingpaywall
What they did
In August 2025, A/B tested annual/weekly/lifetime against the old annual/monthly/lifetime. Weekly ($4.99) is labeled 'Pay as you go, no commitment' and anchors the annual plan, which can then be shown as 90% off versus 52 weeks of weekly.
What happened
Almost doubled trial start rate and increased revenue significantly.
“Back in August, I switched to annual, weekly, and lifetime as an A/B test, and the results were off the charts. They almost doubled my trial start rate.”
“You can say 90% off for annual now, because the weekly is more expensive compared to annual”
“You literally just say, "Hey, pay as you go."”
