What they did
The founder's TikTok account started for his unblocked-games site Evanclever, then was switched to ProblemPal (homework helper), then to Locked. For ProblemPal he posted a direct pitch video: 'How to finish your homework very quickly' in 10 seconds using ProblemPal. Earlier he had grown the Totally Science account from ~30K to ~100K followers with simple videos.
What happened
The ~200K-view video is credited with most of ProblemPal's growth to $2,000/month.
“This account started for my unblocked gaming website, Evanclever. This was the OG account for that after creating tons of content for Totally Science. Then it shifted to an account for my app, ProblemPal, the homework helper.”
“Like, I think the reason that we were able to scale to $2,000 a month is because of this video.”
