When someone leaves a hard paywall, send a push offering 7 free days
Few took it and few of those paid; being replaced
Failednotificationspaywall
What they did
Hard paywall with no X. When a user left the app from the paywall, a local push notification fired immediately: 'try it for seven days'.
What happened
Not many took the offer and not many of those converted. Being replaced by an X that opens a 7-day reverse trial.
“I didn't have an X on my paywall, but I I had it to where when you if you leave the app, it immediately pops a local push notification like, "Hey, like try it for seven days."”
“not many people took us up on it, and then not that many people who took us up on it actually converted”
