After the permission screens, ask 'Ever feel tired when you haven't done much?'
Unknownonboarding
What they did
After the agreement, permission and education screens, a 'now, in the next 2 minutes you'll see what's stealing your energy' screen, a trust screen, then the question 'Ever feel tired even when you haven't done much all day?' (Yes, I know that feeling / No, it never happens to me). Goal is to slow down and put users back in the emotional state that brought them, not to get agreement; the next screen names the cause (hidden stress).
In their words
The Superwall Podcast · Asya Paloni - How to Build an $18M/Year Apple Watch App (FREE MASTERCLASS)“We're trying to emotionally put people back in a place where they remember what that feels like. The buy-in is important, but I think we're trying to actually slow the onboarding down”
