Dmitri Mirakyan - he had nothing.. until he built a stupid simple $30k/mo app with AI

Dmitri Mirakyan built YourMove AI, an AI dating assistant (texting replies, profile writing and review, AI photos), as a party joke in 2022 while a data science manager at Opendoor. It took ~2.5 years to reach ~$30K/month at ~80% margin before he sold it. Early traction came from niche dating subreddits; press coverage (Fox, CNBC, WSJ, Washington Post) sent few users but gave backlinks that powered an SEO blog driving nearly half of traffic, plus Google Ads routed per product. He funded 10-12 part-time Upwork contractors from his salary and quit near $20K/month.

Never pays more than ~$2,000 per iOS app; host relays it, no revenue numbers
“you got to break down the functions of the app into at least three parts, like three to five parts, and then put a price on each of the parts, because one of the biggest problems is the costs bloat over time”
