Get national press on a novel AI angle, mainly for the links back
Press sent few users (TV < one Reddit post) but gave strong domain authority
Mixedpr-launchseo
What they did
Being an early AI dating product before ChatGPT drew coverage from Fox (Business), CNBC, Wired, Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal ('Can You Flirt Better Than Artificial Intelligence?'), plus a Newsweek op-ed by the founder. Never paid for or hunted backlinks; the press links gave the domain high authority from the start.
What happened
Media did not convert to many users or any money directly; a Fox Business appearance drove fewer views than one decent Reddit post. But the backlinks gave strong domain authority that made the SEO strategy work.
