Cut marketing in countries where customers pay less and cost more
What they did
In their words
Making $1.8m from maid software
Ana BibikovaOkay. So, basically, planting the seeds strategy, right?
Amar GhoseYeah, exactly, exactly. And so now after 9 years, I mean, it's definitely a bit like late, but like now we're actually looking at like everything where we've had the tracking set up for quite a while now, but now we're beginning to actually dig into the numbers and to look at the data. And so we're beginning to, um, to like to slow down a couple of things and increase like elsewhere. Like we just made the decision, for example, to cut all of our marketing spend in New Zealand, because we just looked at the numbers and we're just like, "You know what? Like we're getting a couple customers here, but they pay us less and cost us more. There's just no reason to spend like this money, even though it's nice to have more customers, right?" It was almost like vanity revenue.
Pete CodesOkay, awesome.
