Run 'What's your IQ?' ads into an easy web quiz, then send people to the app

What they did
Ads ask 'What's your IQ?' or 'Do you have a higher IQ than your neighbor?' and lead to a web quiz/minigame with easy questions, ending with a result like 'you're in the top 5%, let's train you to get to the 20%'. Users are then sent to the app with its minigames, where monetization happens. No payment on the web: the flow is about engagement and warming users up before the store.
What happened
Guest's one success case with this style of funnel; later became common in brain training.

Sub Club by RevenueCat · Understanding When to Use Web2App and How to Do It Well — Thomas Petit, Independent App Consultant“I had one success case with with this, which was in the brains training brain, sorry, brain training space, uh which eventually become very normal to do this.”
“In their case, the web to app flow not only doesn't need the payment to be there, but certainly would be counterproductive because the whole thing is about uh really engagement and about sort of warming up the audience.”
