Keep ad clicks at 1-3% by moving ads away from where players tap

Above 3%, AdMob flags invalid clicks, cuts eCPMs or suspends accounts

What they did

Keep ad click-through near Google's 1-3% benchmark. Don't let ads cover content or sit where players tap to play, don't use fake close buttons, and serve relevant ads. Higher CTR makes AdMob treat clicks as accidental or fraud: manual review, lower eCPMs, possible suspension.

What happened

Staying in range avoids AdMob penalties; high CTR triggers reviews, lower eCPMs and suspensions.

“So, if uh you tap the screen to interact with the game, but you hit the ad instead, it's still an invalid click, it's not a valid click.”

“AdMob uh sees that you are using this kind of ads and you have high uh CTR, for example, and it starts uh manually checking your account and you might even get suspended at some point.”
