Fill your paywall with a long feature list so buyers see a great deal
12% fewer trial starts (21% to 18%) but significantly more revenue

What they did
Against the contractor's advice, rebuilt a long paywall like the original: an image, a long list of features with descriptions, an extra line of social proof, and a 6-month package option for price anchoring. Goal: a user who sees the one feature they want plus lots more feels it's a great deal. Measured on revenue rather than trial start rate, against the short winning paywall.
What happened
Trial start rate fell 12% (21% to 18%) but the long paywall was significantly better on the metric that turns into dollars

“so I added back the image, the feature description, the the like an extra line of social proof, a 6-month package option for for uh like some price anchoring.”
“trial start rate dropped. Uh we saw that so we saw this 12% drop from 21 to 18.”
“The longer paywall was significantly better than that first one I showed, the one that had become our winning variant where shorter was better.”
