Use a web quiz that tells poor-fit visitors the product isn't for them

Same quiz since launch; guest says it protects retention; untested

What they did

All paid traffic goes to the landing page, then a single web quiz (unchanged since October 2023) that asks about the visitor's experience and whether pacing and Visible fit them, explaining what they're signing up for. Deliberately doesn't push poor fits to buy. Guest notes landing everyone on the landing page instead of straight in the quiz isn't best practice; plans condition-specific quizzes.

What happened

Guest and host argue it protects retention, reviews and product signal; no tests run.

“And we've had one quiz that I think went up when we went live in October of '23 and it hasn't changed since, but it's a classic web funnel”

“And the truth is that our product isn't for everyone. And it would be inconsistent with what we're trying to do in the world to just make people buy it.”
