Asya Paloni - How to Build an $18M/Year Apple Watch App (FREE MASTERCLASS)
Asya Paloniand all of a sudden, it's just it's just gone. And there you are on the couch at the end of the day uh doom scrolling through TikTok. And I think that a lot of people when they're creating a pitch, that is the biggest mistake we make is not spending enough time really describing the human problem, figuring out when throughout the course of the day the user really feels it most,
Asya Paloniand understanding it deeply on a very emotional level. That's not something that like AI can do for you or anyone can do for you. You have to kind of like sit with it, I think, for many months. The second ingredient is you have to make some kind of product promise. We start very bold on the first screen. Your Apple Watch knows what's make you what makes you tired and stressed. Hook up your data, and we'll show you what's going on.
Asya PaloniIt doesn't make like the full-fledged, you know, "And then you will feel better, and then you will do this." But it keeps people just curious enough to be like, "Okay, I'm interested. Let's keep going." Then uh we give them the key. The reason you're so tired all the time is super simple. There's this thing called sedentary stress. It sucks away at your energy while you think you're sitting still and resting.
Joseph ChoiSo that seems like the premise of the story of the onboarding. It's like and it's really interesting. You the very first button is just Sync my health data. I feel like a lot of other apps like present one to three slides in the beginning just showing, "Here's what this app is, by the way, like in case you forgot." But this is like super direct. Have you tested that? Like what Is there a reason why you go like straight for the the CTA?
Asya PaloniI'll be honest with you. I think probably we haven't tested it enough. But every time I tried to like do like a little like prelude, it didn't do as well. Over 90% of users hook up their health data, which I think is uh remarkable in this day and age.
Joseph ChoiWow. 90% actually go through with the with the sync. And the messaging is just very tight, as well. It's like, "Your Apple Watch knows what makes you tired and stressed." And so it it's not even trying to say like, "Hey, we're going to solve all your health problems. CTA, and connect it." It's It's It just leads with like the curiosity. I think like pitching the this the full solution and then click health,
