Post short videos that show the app solving a real student problem
Several ~20M-view videos, ~99% organic, converting far better than viral novelty content

What they did
Early (March-May 2024) videos on the @coconoteapp Instagram page used a quick hook plus product demo: e.g. hook 'My mom just changed my college life forever', 2-3 seconds of a lecture hall, then straight to a phone recording the lecture ('all I do is hit record... it listens to the professor, starts taking notes'). Framed Coconote as a solution to a real problem for the target audience. Mostly made by one creator (Joao). Guest says this 'lazy' shock-hook + demo format works while the product category is new and novel.
What happened
Several videos around 20M views; one at 18M, nearly all in the first 2 months and ~99% organic. Converted much better than PDF to Brainrot; they prefer 10M views that convert over 40M low-intent views.

In their words
The Superwall Podcast · Brett Bauman & Zack Hargett - COPY this ai app's $6.7m/yr marketing strategy“And those were converting much better because they framed Coconote for what it is, which is a solution to a problem.”
“we would rather have 10 million views on a video that converts well because it's actually targeting our target audience and an audience that wants to solve their problems as opposed to a 40 million-view video”
“if the product's very early on, you can get away with, for example, a shock hook and product demo, which is a much lazier form of content.”
