What they did
A Freedom Boat Club staffer at its largest club (Tampa Bay) read about Wavve in a major marine trade magazine and reached out (he later joined Wavve as director of marketing). Adam led with 'how can we help': the club wants members not to run aground and to enjoy time on the water, and boats are its assets. Offered licenses for all members as a cheaper alternative to outfitting boats with chartplotters. Priced per activation for this deal (has also tried flat per-member fees).
What happened
First direct B2B deal; members get a free app; part of partnership-driven acquisition (~25% of total).

In their words
Sub Club by RevenueCat · Navigating App Growth Through Strategic Partnerships and Media Wins — Adam Allore, Wavve Boating“"Okay, excellent. Let's provide licenses to the solution to all of your members, and cut down on incident rates, and maximize their time on the water so they continue to be a Freedom Boat Club member."”
“We've done experimentation with both. For that particular one, it was based on a per activation rate.”
“Side note, the guy who reached out to us is now actually on our team as our director of marketing.”
