Preselect the yearly plan on the paywall to collect cash upfront
Weekly plan also tried; grew a lot slower

What they did
Copied apps with good LTV that default to an annual plan: the paywall preselects annual so more revenue arrives upfront to fund ad growth. Also tried a weekly plan, which gave much slower growth. Deliberately priced high (monetization over growth), unlike Cal AI's intentionally low prices.
What happened
Annual default kept; weekly plan led to slower growth

The Superwall Podcast · Daniel Heintzma - I speedran a new app from 0 to $2m/year in 6 months (here's how)“We defaulted the annual plan in order to like collect more revenue upfront to fuel the growth. We also tried out weekly plan, but that's like a lot slower growth, right?”
