Web2Wave clients at scale

Connect several payment processors and retry failed charges on the next one

Raises conversion and keeps selling if one account is blocked; no numbers

What they did

Use an orchestration layer that stores the payment token on its side and connects several processors (multiple Stripe accounts, Checkout.com, Adyen...). Set up cascade/failover: try Stripe; if the charge fails, retry on another processor. If one merchant account gets in trouble, keep selling through the others. Web2Wave sees clients at scale use this; smaller players can instead use a merchant of record (Xsolla, Paddle, FastSpring) that handles chargebacks and taxes for a higher fee and a stricter review.

What happened

Guest says it increases conversions and lowers risk.

“And you connect multiple payment systems, and then you can do like cascade payment, failover like, "Hey, try to charge this user with Stripe. If the payment is not going through, then try to another payment system."”
