Curiosity Quench · B2C · hobby app to quit doomscrolling
Scroll your niche on TikTok for 15 minutes a day and save what's going viral
How he found every winning format, though the first 100-200 days showed little

What they did
Every morning Jack scrolls TikTok/Instagram on his branded page or a page in the niche (being a real user of the platform), with a 15-minute timer, and uses the save feature on anything doing well, including competitors' posts and videos from unrelated niches whose format could transfer (listicles, a 6-second background video with a caption overlay). He then sets aside 30-60 minutes to make one video from the saved ideas, or a rough 'shitty video' when he has none, trying something new every day early on. For Curiosity Quench he spent about an hour a day on scrolling plus making a video for 100-200 days before finding a winner.
What happened
Surfaced the hobbies slideshow for Curiosity Quench and the competitor's whiteboard demo format for Lovely; many 'gems' turn out to be months old and stale.

In their words
The Superwall Podcast · Jack Friks - He Went From Struggling to Make $1 From His App to Turning Down $1M“Set I set a timer for 15 minutes, and then I just like go on my phone. Really, that's like the whole process mostly. And I'd save things like use the save feature on TikTok and Instagram and save things.”
“So I was scrolling every day and I'd spend exactly like an hour on this marketing, which would be scrolling and making a video. And I tried different video every day. I think I did that for like 100, 200 days, and I didn't really see much.”
“I would say I think I find a gem every session, and then I realize it was 8 months ago, and no one wants to see that type of content anymore.”
