What they did
About eight faceless TikTok accounts posting slideshows, run by hired people paid on a CPM basis and left to figure out views themselves. Found them through a friend running the same strategy for a height app, who passed on a contractor who knew more.
What happened
Accounts were 'pretty profitable'; installs were 'basically free' compared with the pay.
In their words
The Superwall Podcast · Rafael Kramer - this 14 yr old makes $100k/mo PROFIT building apps with ai (here's how)“It was more so just hiring a couple people to run, you know, faceless UGC pages, which were pretty profitable just because they were so cheap to run”
“we would pay these guys like not a lot at all, uh so it was like just basically free installs compared to like what we paid them, and they were just kind of incentivized to figure out how to get views on their own. Um, you know, we would just pay them off a CPM basis.”
