What they did

Spot a meme early (DaBaby's head as a car, seen the day it came out), pull an all-nighter building a simple game around it in a no-code builder (Buildbox), and put it on the App Store; then hire Unity developers once money comes in. A game makes a 2D meme interactive (you can be DaBaby), which is funnier and gets shared. Rafael ran this playbook on many meme games (e.g. a vegan teacher game).

What happened

About 1.5-2M downloads in a month, #2 overall on the App Store, and over $100K in a month.

“So, most of the games, even DaGame was just built with like a no-code mobile game builder.”

“But if you can actually interact with it, you can actually be DaBaby in a game, you can actually, you know, do whatever the meme is doing in an interactive way.”
