What they did
Chose the app's distribution (ASO) before building. Launched in March 2023 targeting keywords found in advance; two of them worked well early and drove the first revenue, after which the app began ranking for more generic, higher-traffic terms. Paid ads were added later.
What happened
Made money from launch; reached ~$15-17K/month purely organic; now ~$20K/month with paid, one of the client's biggest apps.
- Stage
- Scale (launch to ~3 years)
“we found two that worked really well in the very beginning, that drove the revenues, and it and then we started ranking better for more generic high traffic terms.”
“We're running paid too, but we were able to get it to about 15-, 17,000 with just purely organic.”
