Asher Herbstman & Thatcher Clough - I Built a $30k/mo App That Helps You Quit Smoking
Asher HirschmanYeah.
Thatcher CloughAfter that, we sort of have a referral code here that was used more for influencers. We're planning to move this like actually in-app rather than here. That's our our price testing in terms of like what we actually ended on for our personal product. This is somewhat early on actually before we had our current onboarding, so in terms of what we ran before, the prices are over here where we're doing like $30 a year, 40, you know, 50, and then using that as an anchor price. So I'll show you the paywall first cuz it makes more sense with the two. This was our first iteration of a paywall. This was created somewhat from inspiration from Cal AI in terms of what they do. On the first slide, we had showing the features, something that, you know, we've talked about isn't necessarily super good at converting, and we'll show you that in a second, but we kind of highlighted in a carousel the different features of our app with different images, and, you know, putting some social proof in it saying, "Oh, this has 1,000-plus members," really showing them, oh, accountability texts, all that, peer support. In terms of the rest of the paywall underneath there, we have like, …
Asher HirschmanThat is like a um trial like a the Blinkist thing. It was so successful with their app, so many apps have like switched to this Blinkist, you know, you'll start, you'll be reminded, and then billing starts, just very clearly, and this is just another aspect of building up trust with your users.
