Pin a 24-hour sale countdown to the top of the main screen

Kept the sale visible after people closed the pop-up; no numbers

What they did

Sales in in-app messages carry a timer (e.g. 24 hours to take the sale). Because users reflexively X out pop-ups, a persistent countdown timer is shown at the top of the food log for the rest of the day, giving an easy way back to the offer.

What happened

Presented as one of the lessons that worked for the channel; no figures.

“And so a few years ago, we inserted this idea of a countdown timer that was persistent at the top of the log. And so even if you got rid of the message, you knew for the rest of that day that there was a sale going on”
