On TikTok and Shorts, cut the call to action and name the app in a pinned comment

'Link in bio' didn't work on YouTube; shorter videos without it hold viewers better

What they did

On YouTube Shorts and TikTok (no ManyChat), cut the video shorter with no CTA and pin a comment: 'There's many apps you can use to do this, but the one I use in the video is called Payout.' Viewers search it on the App Store. Tried 'click my profile / link in bio' on YouTube and people didn't do it. CTAs reduce retention on these platforms.

What happened

Link-in-bio CTAs failed on YouTube; shorter no-CTA cuts get higher retention. No conversion numbers.

“I've tried different things, like saying click on my profile and click the link in my bio, but people don't really do that on YouTube. It doesn't work.”

“But keep it very subtle, like very, very subtle, and that keeps retention high, because CTAs reduce retention”
