Raise money to buy users once each user brings in friends
Founder says organic referrals were already flowing; no spend or return numbers
Unknownfinancingpaid-socialword-of-mouth
What they did
Early adopters were very passionate (20+ got Reframe tattoos) and posted about it to friends; friends noticed the change and asked how. Without knowing long-term unit economics, the goal became 'get as many users as possible' because each user referred others. Revenue was not enough for a big push, so they raised funds to spend on marketing (expanding into Meta and similar channels) and on R&D.
What happened
No numbers on spend or returns; guest describes steady organic traffic from referrals
“but our goal was, "Let's get as many users as possible," because we know that we know that the users are telling their friends about it, so it makes sense for us to like try and get more users.”
“we know like more than 20 people that have gotten tattoos of Reframe”
