Copy Duolingo's push notifications and tie them to what users did

No stats; they don't track which notifications get clicks

Unknownnotificationsretention

What they did

Frequent notifications reverse-engineered from Duolingo's and applied to wrestling ('Hey, you didn't track your calories. What's going on?', 'Lock in'). Tied to behavior: tracked calories yesterday -> 'track again'; went on a run -> 'beat your record'. Users who finish onboarding without paying, and lapsed users, get 'Don't give up on yourself'-style copy.

What happened

Not measured; they don't track which notification gets clicks.

“So, if they tracked their calories yesterday, "Hey, track your calories again."”

“We don't have any stats though. That actually would be interesting to see. Like we don't track which notification actually gets them to click.”
