$140K MRR Niche Dating App in Just 6 Months
… first and foremost yeah um so i i basically did all right i did validate it uh so first it was like uh two years ago or two years maybe now three years ago i was single i was doing a lot of sports i was like all right i want to meet someone that does sports as much as i do it i understand my trainings my competitions you know and i was like there is no product for me so maybe I'll do one one day I was still in school all right and when I was
going towards the end of my school I was like all right this idea is one of my most developed one I would say so what can I do to test a bit the idea while I'm still in school and the idea to test this was to create a run club for singles basically my take was there are a lot of run clubs in Paris in sydney in new york wherever but and and everyone knows that you go to a run club to actually meet people it's not to make friends but it's to start roman romantic relationships you know
… it and this i was like all right why do does no one actually uh um assume the fact uh say out loud that they they are here to meet people so i was like let's to a run club but it's exclusively for singles so that was the first step i did it in paris about a year ago um i started everything myself you know created the instagram account so i did the the reels myself started the matchmaking so first run there was like maybe 40 people that signed up
there was like a hundred and then it went on like this for a few weeks and then i finished my school and i was like all right i have to i have to do the app and that's when i started it wait gabriel how did you get 40 people to show up i can't get 40 people to show up to an app event man okay yeah so there they were there were 40 people who signed up on the on the run club but i i only took 10 because i wanted to be in a small group to be able to actually meet people and talk to each other because i didn't really like the fact that run clubs were like 200 people
running in the streets that wasn't really my mood um so the first run i have to admit it was like half people I knew, half people I didn't know, people from the forum. And the second one was only people I didn't know. So that was nice. And actually a small anecdote from that one is the first run. So my best friend was here and he actually met someone I didn't know or girl I didn't know. And they're still together. It's like, it has been like one …
