Mario Manero & Alejandro Sanchez - Our App Makes $30K/Month Profit Using This Simple Strategy (copy us)
Joseph ChoiHow do some of these numbers compare against benchmarks? Are there any like major improvements that you guys have made since the first versions of these?
Mario Ortiz ManeroLike the metrics themselves, like for example, like it's hard to just look at paywall rate, for example, because, by having a longer onboarding, you may be decreasing the paywall rate while increasing the paywall conversion, right? So, if anything, you should always be looking at ARPU, which in our case is it's also tricky, because the data is a bit harder to get, like or to analyze on the ARPU. We saw that we had a really bad conversion rate, and so we did an A/B test on the free trial length, 3 days versus 7 days, and we saw that, for example, 7 days really marked a difference in how many more people got into the app. And then, we wanted to focus a bit more on another one and so on. But overall, like it's a bit hard, but ARPU is like the North Star.
Alejandro SanchezWe also tried monthly versus weekly, and we saw that weekly actually won, but it was only like a little bit of uh extra ARPU. Uh and paywall Yeah, the paywall which actually won is uh this video paywall, if you can show it real quick.
