… to grow fast and succeed fast. So I knew how I was going to do it. I had no money though, like enough to live, but nothing to like put a ton of money into it. Um, and so one of my best friends lives right next to me in this fraternity. And one of the guys in there has been doing like drop shipping for years. And I knew he had a lot of money and I didn't really know him, but I was just like, I wonder if he'd be interested in investing into this.
So I got him on a call and we just like talked for a while. And I was like, this is my idea. I know it's going to work, whether it's you or someone else. I'm going to find someone to invest in this because I know how I'm going to do this. And he was like, I'm down. He put money into it. That's how we started. And then slowly the team grew. So that initial investment, what did you use that for? Was it just influencer salaries or did you also like hire developers or anything like that? All marketing. All marketing. So you just built the app yourself then? I did it first. And then I was in this like founders club at the university for like people building things.
And there's these two just developers that are just insane, insane at what they do. And I was like, do you guys want to come work on this project? We're already at like, this was like where once we were, we were like a month in, if you guys want to come work on this and run the development side, you know, I've got to focus on marketing. And I was like, we'll give you guys like, you know, give you some of the percentage of the company and stuff. …
